Dress links the biological body to the social being, and public to private. Clothes are designed to hide while revealing, to cover while exposing and to protect while rendering vulnerable. This publication introduces us to seven artists of radically different materials and visions, notably Laura Vickerson and Ana Rewakowicz.
Un aspect particulier du vêtement c'est qu'il relie le corps biologique à l'être social et le public au privé. Les vêtements sont conçus pour cacher tout en révélant, pour couvrir tout en exposant et pour protéger tout en rendant vulnérable. On nous présente les oeuvres de sept artistes diamétralement différents tant dans leur vision que dans les matériaux qu'ils utilisent pour créer. Laura Vickerson et Ana Rewakowicz sont parmi les artistes participants.

Organized as a conduit between the gallery inside and the garden outside, this exhibition of four installation artists exploits the theme of nature and the passage of time through the use of flowers as readymades. The artists - David Merritt, Chrysanne Stathacos, Laura Vickerson and Tomiyo Sasaki - encourage the viewer to take an active role in the unfolding narratives and slow motion dramas which the various uses and juxtapositions of petals, pins and light elicit. Includes an essay by Fleming and statements by the artists.

Leslie Dawn
An installation, created especially for the gallery, which addresses the ephemerality of human existence both thematically and through the use of fragile and unstable materials like glass, flower petals, and light. Dawn's essay considers Vicker's current installation individually as well as in relation to her larger body of work.
